Since 2001, ChangeAbility (formally known as SVSW) has been at the forefront of a number of educational and awareness campaigns. Each year, we actively engage in the following campaigns and events:

Upcoming Events

Wairarapa Bush White Ribbon Challenge

This year we are inviting schools to help us raise awareness about the White Ribbon campaign by creating a 60 second video about Respectful Relationships. Video entries will be posted onto our Facebook pages.

There will be a prize for the best video. Videos need to be sent to by the 17th November.
The winning video will be announced on the 24th November.

The prize will include:
1.    a White Ribbon tee-shirt for each member of the class or group that creates a video
2.    a prize worth $200 for the class or school.

Family violence training and workshops

As part of our goal of making the Wairarapa a safer place for everyone, we offer training and workshops events to help locals understand the impact of family and sexual violence. We support communities to respond safely and respectfully to people who are experiencing, affected by, or perpetrating family violence and sexual violence.

Pink Shirt Day: Bully Free Me

The aim of Bully Free Me is to encourage positive social behaviour in children and young people, and to reduce the incidence of bullying. Check out the website for more information on how to change bullying behaviour and ways you can help.
